Ryan Bess is quirky, sassy, and charming.

She completed a two-year conservatory program in Meisner Acting Technique at William Esper Studio. Previously, she studied Sense Memory and Method Technique with Lily Lodge.

She continues to study with Austin Pendleton, Amy Wright, and Reed Birney at HB Studios; she does improv and sketch at UCB and the Pit.

Ryan is also a screenwriter. She has written several pilots, and she wrote, directed, and starred in the mockumentary Hipsters. Her latest webseries Late Bloomer is about to drop.

Ryan is currently in the TV Writing MFA Program at Stony Brook University. Look out world: she’s coming to a tiny screen near you.

She grew up the daughter, sister, and great-great-grand-niece of actresses— as a result, she is everything but normal.
